Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
Matthew 22:37-39
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news of the Kingdom of God. Therefore, Christians proclaim the gospel by advocating for the Kingdom and doing things God uses to expand His Kingdom.
We proclaim the gospel best by living it. To "live" the gospel, we first have to repent; turn from our natural sinful state; and be "born again" to be more like Jesus. We have to be less selfish; more loving.
Christians (Jesus-followers) should strive to be like Jesus; to reflect his values (mercy, justice, peace, love, etc) in every part of our lives. Certainly in our personal, private lives. But also, apparently controversially, in our public, social and, yes, political lives. In every area of our lives we should be asking: "What Would Jesus Do" (WWJD)?
Here's our take on the gospel and politics.
